Taking care of your garments helps to maintain their beauty and quality over time. Each yarn requires different procedures depending on its composition, to preserve its characteristics over time.

LOOKING AFTER CASHMERE

WASHING

Comb the garment, if necessary, with the specific comb. Before washing, turn the garment inside out.

Use the cleansing lotion for hand-washing or machine-washing Falconeri cashmere garments. Do not use fabric softener.

Hand-wash in cold water, and allow the garment to soak for 10-15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Alternatively, machine wash on a delicate cycle (cashmere/wool). Cold water, no spin cycle.

AFTER WASHING

Do not wring out, but roll up in a towel.

After washing, lay the piece out flat on a towel.

Cover the dry garment with a cloth and iron it on a medium heat setting.

ADVICE

Keep the garment in the specific bag and add a moth-repellent product.

Common errors to be avoided:
- do not leave the garment hanging up;
- do not wash on a warm cycle;
- do not bleach.

COTTON AND SILK/COTTON BLENDS

Hand-wash in cold water. Use our cleansing lotion specifically for delicate garments. Allow the garment to soak for a maximum of 3-5 minutes in cold water, moving it around gently. Finally, carefully rinse it out.

Do not use bleach. As well as having an impact on the environment, it damages the protective fibres.

Do not spin, as this delicate yarn tends to weaken when subjected to strong agitation.

Do not squeeze, but gently press with a towel to remove any excess water, and avoid twisting, rubbing or wringing the garment.

Lay the piece out flat away from sources of heat or light. Do not hang up, to prevent the garment being stretched. Do not tumble dry.

Turn the garment inside out before ironing and avoid high temperatures.

SILK

Wash inside-out, preferably by hand, in cold water using our special cleansing lotion for delicate garments. Soak the garment for no more than 3 minutes and gently rinse thoroughly.

If you prefer machine washing, use the delicates progamme with cold water. Do not tumble dry since as it is a very delicry fabric, energetic agitation tends to weaken it.

Do not wring. Remove any excess water by dabbing with a cloth.

Dry flat away from light or sources of heat.

Iron inside out at low temperature, placing a cloth on top to protect the garment.

LINEN

Machine-wash on a delicate cycle or preferably hand-wash, using our cleansing lotion for natural yarns.

Do not bleach with chlorine-based products.

Do not squeeze, but gently press with a towel to remove any excess water.

Do not tumble dry.

Dry flat away from sources of heat or light.

Turn the piece inside out before ironing and use a cotton cloth between the garment and the iron, which should not be at a high temperature.
